MARTY SIMON - PRESIDENT, OWNER – Email Me Marty is the founder and owner of Snyder’s Shades and Shutters. He bought Snyder’s Hardware in 1972 and shortly thereafter started up the window treatments center within the store. Since selling the property in 1996, he has happily maintained the business as a shop-at-home company. Marty has claimed that he has not actually worked in a long time because his job is too much fun for him to consider it work, and it certainly shows in his willingness and enjoyment of helping each customer. “It’s not about business; it’s about making people happy,” says Marty.

CRAIG SIMON – VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING AND BUSINESS TO BUSINESS PROGRAMS – Email Me Craig is a proud graduate of the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. He grew up around the business from roaming the aisles of the hardware store as a child with his sister, to stacking boxes in the warehouse through high school, to working with the installers and his dad during the summers of college and finally joining full-time to help run the business. In the spirit of being a true Hokie, he still manages to get back down to Blacksburg for the occasional football weekend. Craig is very excited to be joining the family business and is eager to contribute all he can. He has instituted new programs working with real estate agents to help them understand that a vendor-based program is a necessary tool to help them enhance their relationship with their home owner clientele. Additionally, he has already established corporate rewards programs with major companies such as Sony and AOL to greatly benefit their employees.
